Poppy Stories started in January 2011 and ran through until September of the same year. Over 25 young people collaborated on exploring the impact of World War Two on life in their local town, Kingston.

Using their own creativity, the group aimed to bring the memories of those that experienced the second world war to life. As one young person put it 'Our future is written in our past'.
The project was recorded and documented to form this website. We hope it shares our learning and provides inspiration for other groups to study their heritage.
